Thursday- Ads & Coupons 9-10, journal on Yougotta books
Friday- pgs. 18-20 in Persuasive workbook

HW:  Students will be assigned anything we don't finish in class as homework

           HW: journal:  In the next scene you will be meeting the Van Daans.  What do you think that meeting will be like?  What will be the concerns?  (4-5 sentences at least)
Thursday- Anne Frank Act 1 Scene 2 (1st half); study guide questions #7-15
            HW: journal:  Pretend you are Anne or Peter.  What do you think of the other one?  What is good about them?  What is not so good?  Do you think that the two of you will get along?  (4-5 sentences)
Friday- Anne Frank Act 1 Scene 2 (2nd half); study guide questions #16-22

Long Term Reading Homework for Third Marking Period

Period 2 Mrs. Brodhead

Students are to read a novel of their choice by the end of the marking period.  Using the persuasive writing techniques that we are talking about they need to write a "Yougotta Award" for their book.  It is a persuasive essay on why I need to read that book.

Period 6B Mrs. Edling's Reading 8

1)  Choose a book that you like:  complete a book report, take the AR quiz (and pass it), make a diorama, or any other option you discuss with me to show me that you read this book.

2)  Read a newspaper article every week and write a 50-100 word summary of it. (9 total for the marking period)-  MUST be spread throughout the marking period.
